CATAPULT TECHNOLOGY APPOINTS
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
David Thornton brings 25 years of experience to IT consulting firm
Bethesda, Maryland - January 8, 2008 - Catapult Technology, Ltd., a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) Information Technology (IT) contractor to the Federal government, announced that David C. Thornton has joined the company as Vice President of Finance.
In this role, Thornton will oversee and directly manage the company’s financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting and the accounts payable, payroll, and capital asset accounting functions. He will also manage operations activities, including protecting operating margins, minimizing and controlling operating costs, and procuring inventory.
Thornton will coordinate the company’s annual audit activities, will be actively involved in the execution, testing, and maintenance of internal controls, and will manage securities and cash portfolios, other liquid assets, and debt. He will report on the financial well-being of the organization directly to Barry Kane, president of Catapult Technology.

Thornton was most recently responsible for the financial operations of the CACI AIT group, formerly the AlphaInsight Corporation, a Falls Church, VA-based operating group within CACI of approximately $60M in annual revenue. He has also been controller, senior principal at Information Management Consultants, Inc, a Reston, VA-based consulting firm, in addition to other key controller and accounting management positions throughout a career spanning more than 20 years.
