Barry Kane Appointed President of Catapult Technology

Bethesda, Maryland, November 30, 2006 – Catapult Technology, Ltd. announced today that Barry Kane, a 38-year veteran of the federal information technology community, will join the firm as president.

Making the announcement, chairman and CEO Randy J. Slager noted, “Barry’s knowledge of the federal market, coupled with his experience in guiding companies to achieving their full growth potential, make him the obvious choice to help take Catapult to the next level. Leveraging the rest of a strong management team, he will provide the focus and leadership to build on the successful foundation that has been established.”

“I have worked with Catapult and with Randy Slager for a decade,” said Barry Kane upon his appointment, “and I am pleased to be selected for this important and trusted position. Catapult is universally admired and respected for the quality of its people, its single-minded focus on customer satisfaction, and for having an environment where people enjoy working.”

Previously, Kane was senior vice president at CACI. Prior to that, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of AlphaInsight Corporation, a mid-tier IT service provider, until their recent merger with CACI. He came to AlphaInsight from SIGNAL Corporation where he served as executive vice president. Following a twenty-year Coast Guard career as the telecommunications division chief in Coast Guard Headquarters, Kane continued his federal IT career at Synetics. Receiving a bachelor of science in engineering from the Coast Guard Academy, Kane holds a masters degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Michigan and is a licensed professional engineer.
