Press / NewsCATAPULT TECHNOLOGY PROVIDES TAX FORM FILING SERVICES TO INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE UNDER $24M, FIVE-YEAR CONTRACTBethesda, Maryland - Catapult Technology, Ltd., a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) Information Technology (IT) contractor to the Federal government, has been awarded a $24M, five-year contract to provide files management services to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) at several locations around the United States. Catapult Technology is the sub-contractor on the contract. Under the contract, Catapult Technology is helping the IRS improve the physical sorting, sequencing, storage and maintenance of millions of individual and business tax returns and related paper documents. Streamlined processes include the management of responses to requests by IRS representatives, as well as the packing and shipping of returns for archiving. “Our consulting solution is tailored to the unique needs of the IRS,” said Randy Slager, Catapult Technology’s chairman, CEO, and founder. “We will bring our strong record of performance and quality in records management processes and operations to provide excellent service to the IRS and the taxpayer.” The files management project for the IRS is a strong indicator of Catapult Technology’s growth and geographical representation, as it adds over 100 new employees to Catapult Technology’s roster, with roughly 30 people at the IRS location in Andover, Massachusetts; 50 people at its Austin, Texas location; and 40 people at its Atlanta, Georgia location.
