CATAPULT TECHNOLOGY PROVIDES HUMAN RESOURCES SOLUTION TO U.S. FOREST
SERVICE
Task order represents $800K in services
As part of an $800K task order through the GSA 8(a) STARS (Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services) Federal contract vehicle, Catapult Technology is providing Personnel Action Request (PAR) processing services to the U.S. Forest Service, a division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Catapult Technology is the prime contractor.
Because maintaining experienced staff can be a challenge, Federal agencies are increasingly using contractors to supplement payroll and personnel action processing tasks. Outsourcing has proven to be a cost-effective alternative to keeping a full-time staff devoted specifically to these functions.
“With Catapult’s Human Capital Solutions, the Forest Service’s human resources staff can focus their resources on key mission-related activities,” said Fred Haggard, Vice President of Management Consulting at Catapult. “Our new work with Forest Service builds on the work we already do for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Transportation Security Administration, using National Finance Center (NFC) applications and systems.”
Catapult is also currently working with the USDA Rural Development (RD) Budget Division (BD). This is the first project with the Forest Service.
