Bethesda, Maryland – Monday, May 14, 2012 – Catapult Technology, a leading Information Technology (IT) contractor to the federal market, will exhibit at the General Services Administration (GSA) Training Conference and Expo, May 15-17, 2012. Catapult will be in booth #321 on the show floor at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX. The company will be on hand to discuss its array of IT and management consulting services, including the strategic communications initiatives it has implemented at the GSA under the $200 million GSA Infrastructure Technology Global Operations (GITGO) contract.

Company representatives will be available at the GSA Expo & Conference to discuss the strategic, tactical, and operational communications that grew out of the formal Program Management Office (PMO) that Catapult put into place. Catapult has held the GITGO contract since 2007.

Out of the PMO, Catapult’s consultants implemented a process for producing, assessing, distributing, and measuring communications that go to GSA’s 17,000 employees. The communications educate GSA’s end users on how they can address and solve IT issues on their own through a self-service trouble-shooting web site.

“Catapult has been a regular exhibitor at the GSA Expo for many years,” said David Lyons, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President, Technology & Management Solutions. “GSA remains our biggest customer, so we’re proud and excited to be exhibiting again this year and being available to talk to other potential GSA customers about the many information technology, management consulting, program management, and human capital solutions capabilities we provide on the GITGO contract.”

The GSA Training Conference and Expo is GSA’s signature training conference and exposition, specially designed to benefit federal, state and local government employees and military members who make or influence procurement decisions.

Bethesda, Maryland – Tuesday, May 8, 2012 – Catapult Technology, Ltd., a leading contracting firm providing Information Technology (IT) services to the federal government, announces the retirement of its president, Barry Kane.

Kane joined Catapult in 2006 to manage the company’s day-to-day operations. During his tenure as President, Catapult saw revenue increase from $49 million in 2006 to $146 million in 2011; graduated from the 8(a) Small Business Program to become a mid-tier firm; and marked its 15th year in business in 2011.

As President, Kane focused on strategic expansion and capitalization on significant growth opportunities. He led through unprecedented uncertainty within the federal marketplace during his five plus years with the company, including threats of government shutdown and budget debates. Throughout these events, Kane maintained a steadfast posture and kept the company on track, said Randy J. Slager, CEO, Chairman, and founder of Catapult.

“We knew Barry’s track record of acquiring new work, expanding existing contracts, building and running an efficient organization and exceeding revenue and profit estimates” when he was hired in 2006, said Slager. (Slager founded the company in 1996.)

Kane stated, “When I was approached by Randy, I knew that Catapult was a company in transition. My goal and focus when I came on board was to run an efficient organization, and keep the management team facing forward to keep up the momentum.

“As I have said each year over the last five years, being president of a company that is known for its integrity, focus, and quality is something that I am extremely proud of. I will never forget the experience, and I consider working at Catapult a crowning achievement over the course of my career.”

Kane brought more than 35 years of experience in the public and private sectors at small- to mid-level businesses to his role as President of Catapult. Prior to joining Catapult, he was senior vice president at CACI and executive vice president and chief operating officer of AlphaInsight, where he was responsible for all aspects of operations, business development, and proposal development for the company. As executive vice president at SIGNAL Corporation and vice president at Synetics Corporation, Kane acquired and managed government contracts in excess of $120 million.

He continued his federal IT career in the private sector following a 20-year Coast Guard career culminating as the Telecommunications Division Chief in Coast Guard Headquarters. His Coast Guard service included duty at the United States Coast Guard Academy, Seventh District/Miami, and Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. His first assignment was aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Mendota performing patrols off the coast of Vietnam.

Bethesda, Maryland – March 26, 2012 – Catapult Technology, Ltd., Catapult Technology, Ltd., a leading Information Technology (IT) contractor to the federal market, announces that it will be an exhibitor at TechNet Land Forces Southwest March 26-29, 2012 in Tucson, AZ. Catapult will be in booth #829 on the show floor at the Tucson Convention Center.

The overall theme of TechNet Land Forces Southwest is network security and operations, which is a seamless fit for Catapult’s cybersecurity expertise. The operational theme of the first conference is “Operating and Defending the Cyberspace: Tomorrow’s Playbook.”

Catapult’s objectives for the show are to further increase the company’s visibility within the Department of Defense and explore potential partnerships and relationships with other firms. Catapult’s representatives expect to visit with representatives from the Army and Marine Corps, as well as DoD Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard security forces.

“As Catapult continues to pursue and win business with the DoD, being front and center with the TechNet audience makes sense,” said John Scarcella, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Systems at Catapult. “We look forward to our inaugural exhibit at TechNet Southwest.”

Catapult has a number of current DoD customers, and recently won work as a subcontractor on two new Army projects: U.S. Army Information Technology Agency (USA ITA) Data Center, as a subcontractor to General Dynamics; and the Army CIO/G-6 contract, as a subcontractor to Excentium, Inc.

The TechNet Land Forces conference series recently evolved from and replaces the annual LandWarNet Conference.
