US Department of Housing and Urban Development - Application Maintenance and Support Services

Catapult provides software engineering and maintenance for HUD's Public and Indian Housing (PIH) Information Center (PIC) mission critical system. Catapult was successful in transitioning the work from two incumbent contractors within 45 days. The system contains over 3.5 million lines of web enabled software code that provides the means for Public Housing Authorities/Agencies across the nation to exchange legally mandated data with HUD for the distribution and management of public housing funds.

Catapult applies SEI^SM SE/SW Level 2 (2004) and Level 3 (2005) processes for all software and systems engineering programs. Catapult has reduced the level of incidents called-in after major software releases from approximately 100 to zero defeats on the last five releases.

The project team continues to recommend architectural changes and software code improvements to enhance systems performance and effectiveness in meeting congressional, regulatory requirements. We are maintaining a blend of web technologies using Java, ASP, and COM programs.
