Bethesda, MD – Tuesday, August 3, 2010 – Catapult Technology, Ltd. (Catapult), a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) Information Technology (IT) contractor to the federal government, announces that Alissa Johnson, PhD, has joined the company as Associate Vice President of the Technology and Management Solutions division.
In this role, Dr. Johnson will ensure that projects meet revenue and profit goals, maintain relationships with existing clients, work with the business development team and the managers in charge of current projects to expand sales opportunities, and take part in capture/proposal generation process.
“Alissa’s hiring is a direct response to customers’ requests for more complex technical solutions,” said David Lyons, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of the Technology and Management Solutions division at Catapult. “Our customers want us to be proactive, recommending the solutions that further their agency’s objectives.”
Dr. Johnson said, “I look forward to getting to know Catapult’s customers so I can bring my technical consultative experience to bear on their projects and recommend the technologies that will help them reduce their cost and improve flexibility and efficiency.”
Dr. Johnson will manage contracts with such federal civilian agencies as U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), National Science Foundation (NSF), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), among others.
She brings more than 10 years of diverse professional services experience to her new role, having working most recently at Lockheed Martin Corporation as Deputy Chief Technology Officer & Solutions Architect. She has also held a number of other positions at Lockheed Martin, including Engineering Group Manager & Engineering Test Director; and Controlled Interface (CI)/Information security Team Lead.
Dr. Johnson has also worked at McClendon Corporation as Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE); Eagle Alliance, a Northrop Grumman/Computer Sciences Corporation company as ISSE Department Manager/Implementation Services Deputy Operations Manager; Logicon DPC, a Northrop Grumman company as Senior Network Engineer; and at the Department of Defense, National Security Agency as a project manager and project engineer.
She holds a PhD in Information Technology Management from Capella University; an M.S. in Telecommunications and Computer Networks from The George Washington University; and a B.S. in Math from Savannah State University. Additionally, she is Adjunct Faculty at American Sentinel University and University of Phoenix.
Dr. Johnson reports to David Lyons, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of the Technology and Management Solutions division.
